A Federal Capital Territory Magistrate Court has granted bail to Senator
Elisha Abbo in the sum of N5million and two sureties in like sum.

Recalls that Abbo was arraigned in court over alleged assault of a nursing mother.

He was, however, released on Friday afternoon after meeting the bail conditions.

The Presiding Magistrate, Senior Magistrate Abdullahi Ilellah, said the sureties must have verifiable addresses within the FCT.

Ilellah then adjourned the case to July 22nd for hearing.

Senator Abbo, who was arraigned on Monday on a one-count of assault, pleaded not guilty, Nigeria Tribune reports.
